I grew up in such a loving home, the only problem was that I always dreamed big and had an imagination that not many really understood! I always wanted to be a famous Hollywood actress and my mother never really believed in me and she didn’t think that I could honestly do it! So obviously that put some doubts in my mind that I wasn’t good enough and that I could never really achieve my goal!

I finished high school last year, and I moved into an apartment with my amazing boyfriend! I had decided to take a year off because my mother thought that I needed to think carefully about what I wanted to do with my life, so I got a job Au pairing for a family and began thinking what I really wanted. I was so unhappy in the job I had, because I knew deep down that I had all this talent inside of me that was being kept away from the world to see! So continuously and continuously I was asking for a better job that offered more money.

I eventually quit my job and found a different au pair job that had the nicest children and alot more money! This was all before The Secret!

I then decided that enough was enough, I was now also going to start making my dream of being famous happen. So I decided to go to a T.V commercial company and sign up with them and be in commercials. The lady there told me that people my age didn’t often get jobs, not alot that is. So I went on my way. With this thought in my head I was actually keeping the jobs away from me!

Then my life began to change. I had heard about The Secret but I didn’t pay much attention to it. Then one day I just thought, I want this book because I had heard that it was changing peoples lives and I thought, “What can it hurt?” So I got into my car and drove to an exclusive bookstore and was a little dissapointed when they said it was sold out! I said to myself that I was going to get one soon!

The next night my sisters and I were discussing the book and the one mentioned that she had it!
I was like sweet, now I can read it! So I got the book from my sister and began to read it! I decided to put it to the test.

I saw a knysna Lourie(bird) sitting in a tree all alone, and I said to myself, I want to see another one sitting in the tree… Not even two minutes later a lourie moved in the tree that was empty, besides for the one other one sitting in the tree! Out of nowhere another one appeared… It was so cool!! This stuff works, I told myself!

I got home that night and told my boyfriend about it. Then I thought to myself, “Why don’t I just KNOW that I am going to get a part in a T.V commercial?” Within the next 4 hours a lady called me and told me I had an audition…
I was so happy! I got the part in the end (like I knew I would).

So my mother now believes in me.. She says that this is just the beginning for me… But she doesn’t have to tell me that, because I always knew I would become my dream!
