It was in the month of November year 2013 that every student at the University of Zululand was in great panic about booking their residence’s for next year. I was not worried at all about booking a room, not one bit. This was because I knew the power of the Law of Attraction.

Another reason I did not panic about booking was because I was busy getting everything set for my business meeting as on that day I had organized for Mr Ngcobo to come and do a presentation for people that I wanted to show the IFA business opportunity to.

I had invited and planned this meeting 7 days in advance. All the people that I had invited promised that they were going to be present at the meeting. Two days before the day that the meeting was scheduled for, the university sent out notification sms’s that the online booking was going to be open to students on the exact same day and time as that of my meeting. People cancelled on me but I pleaded with them to come when they had finished booking.

On the Friday when the whole university was on edge and everyone had laptops and computers at hand, I was inviting people to my presentation. “Stha why are you not worried about booking?? Why are you so relaxed? Where are you going to stay next year?”. I looked at them and said “I will get residence and I will have a room next year, the Law of Attraction will make a way.” I repeated this over and over and over again that day. My presentation went well and people did turn up. 7 joined my business.

On the 28th of January 2014 it was registration day! The first step was financial clearance where they check if your debt from the previous year is paid off. Mine was and I had attained NSFAS (National Student Financial Aid Scheme) for registration. The attendant asked me if I had booked for residence. I said yes, because I knew that the Law of Attraction would come through for me, I knew this deep inside so much that answering that question wasn’t hard at all. I went through all the necessary steps with so much ease. When I got to the last step, the residence step, I got there with my mind in the right place, I told myself that residence was mine and that I had a room!

There was a pin that those students who had booked were given. I hadn’t booked so I didn’t have one. I went to the assistants and told them that I booked but didn’t have a pin. I was instructed to write my e-mail address down and they would check for me. I did as I was instructed.

After a few minutes the e-mail list came back and there was also a pin next to mine!!

That 6 character alphanumeric pin gave me so much more power to believe, hope and persist. I took the pin down and went to the room where they were doing the room allocations. When I got there I went to one of the wardens and he told me to produce a letter sent to my email that confirms that my booking was processed. I told him that I booked but did not get the e-mail. He told me to go to one of the student residence assistants to get them to give it to me.

When I got to the student residence assistant she requested my information which I gave to her. She entered it into the system and she told me that there was an error. She asked me again if I really booked. I said YES! She then told me to sit down on a chair on the side and wait. I did. As I was sitting there again I said to myself “I have residence, I have residence, I have residence! The Secret and Think And Grow Rich taught me that persistence can get you anything you want.

I persisted! I persisted! I persisted! When the girl who was helping me came back, she told me to come back the next day because a list of all the people that booked but didn’t get the letters was going to come out.

I didn’t book, I was not going to be on that list. But I was going to get the room! One way if not another.

I then went to one female warden with the intention of just merely begging her to allocate me a room. I trusted in her good heart and helping me. So I told her the truth that I did not book. She did not seem to care about that, she told me she had a list in front of her with rooms that were not occupied.

She told me to pick a room in the block that I wanted. I stood there shocked at what was happening. I tried again to explain that I had not booked but I needed a room. “I don’t care about all that! Pick a room that you want.”, were her words.

“May I please have this one”, was my response. She asked my particulars and I quickly gave them to her she printed the letter and asked me to go get it so that she could stamp and sign it. I ran so fast not even feeling my legs! When I came back she stamped it and signed it and told me to go and get my residence access card!

I couldn’t believe it! I went and registered my thumbs, signed and off I went to get my room key. As I was running to get the key I couldn’t control myself I was so happy and grateful. Sounds that I didn’t know were coming out of my mouth!! I was laughing and screaming, with tears falling out of my eyes.
