I am Aashish, a student completing his +2. I often encounter viral fevers, but this year when it struck me, little did I know that it was going to change my life and for the better.

I went to the doctor for my check-up, but something unusual came up. He told me, “You are suffering from inguinal hernia.” I was in a complete state of shock. My mother had recently undergone an operation for the same thing. I was instantly in a depression and couldn’t understand why this disease had struck me at such an early age. I had lost all concentration for my studies due to the stress, and on top of that my family told me to stop dancing so that it doesn’t get worse.

One day when my sister returned from her internship, she brought home a book, The Secret. She told me that this book could heal me, totally. At first I thought she might have gone crazy because how can a book heal me? For her sake I started reading it and while reading it, I actually started believing the things that were mentioned in it. By the time I had finished reading I was completely sure that I was fine and that my body was perfect. I kept repeating this sentence in my mind over and over again-“Hernia is weak, it won’t survive in my body, my body is perfect”. I kept visualizing myself playing cricket and dancing again. Near about two weeks after finishing the book, one night while studying a strange pull inside my body developed, after this pulling was gone I got up to check what had happened and to my utter surprise the area affected by hernia was totally healed. It was as good as new, like it never had been affected by anything. That was the moment I totally believed that anything that we truly want, is achieved.
