I am someone who was born into a Buddhist family. However, I never had faith in any religion nor do I believe in anything other than myself.

One day I read this blogger writing about how The Secret changed her entire life. I decided to go for the book. It was too expensive for me at that point. I wanted to read it so much and one day I found out that my friend actually had that book! So of course I borrowed the book from him. That’s when my life changed.

The first story goes:

I flushed my 3 month old iPhone 5 into the toilet bowl in my office. Like seriously, who flushes the phone down the pipe? Clumsy as I was, I manage to flick my phone into the bowl whilst flushing it and of course, I panicked.

And luckily my boss is a huge believer of The Secret. She knows that I believe in The Secret. She kept telling me “Hey you will get it back. It will all be fine, it’s all good. Be thankful and feel thankful that you already got your phone back!”

And that’s when I called the maintenance guy of the building to help me. The toilet was choked up which means my phone was still there. I asked them to help me remove the entire toilet bowl including the pipes connected to it and all that. The maintenance guys said they could help me try to do that, but if the toilet bowl were to break in the process, I would have to pay $300. I could get a brand new iPhone 5 for about $800, but I got it as a gift, so I am like weighing the risk and I open The Secret for some positive strength.

And I asked them to go ahead. Even if my phone was dead, I want to see it’s “corpse”.

So after all the drilling, 2 hours later, I saw my phone!!

It was there!

And reading all the online methods of reviving a soaked phone, I placed my phone in a ziplock bag of rice for 4 days. During these 4 days, my boss would come to me and say “Hey, your phone will work!” And I genuinely thanked her for that encouragement and instilling the grateful thoughts I have of a working phone.

Four day later my phone worked!

I am typing on it now, 1 year later!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Imagine a phone soaked in the toilet bowl pipe for more than 2 hours and it’s working. Best part, the toilet bowl wasn’t damage so there’s no compensation needed! Yay! So happy he he!

There are more instances that The Secret helped me. I will share them another day.

But I have since saved up and bought the book myself. I am carrying it everywhere I go like a bible/Quran. I am thankful for having read The Secret which made me have something I truly believe and have faith in.
