My Imagination And The Gifts I Received.

Northern VirginiaI'm a preschool teacher.
I’m a preschool teacher and I came across the book “The Power of Henry’s Imagination” on the website. I borrowed this book from our public library and read it many times. I shared the story to my friends, sister and nephews. I added the book’s title in the book wish list of our school. I visualized myself reading this book to my children in class and storing the book in our library closet. Alas! I received a copy of “The Power of Henry’s Imagination” in less than a month from a parent in my class. I read the story to the class and encourage them to visualize! The story is about a boy learning The Secret to locating his missing stuffed bunny by using the extraordinary power of imagination. I kept the concept in my mind and when I needed it the most I used it.
How did I apply the story to my situation? I received a fitbit and was fond of using it, I wore it every day. After a few days I lost it somewhere in the house and I could not find it. I needed to find it, it was important to me. I looked around and everywhere but no signs of it. I asked my nephews but they did not see it either. I looked under the Christmas tree but it was not there. When I bent forward it reminded me of an illustration of Henry from the book and how he was searching for the missing stuffed bunny. So as I stood up I visualized myself wearing it and walking around the house with it. I was determined to find it that moment! With the intercession of St. Anthony the saint known to help find lost items and a prayer to the Holy Spirit, I was directed to the basement and found it behind a plastic container of gift wrappers. The fitbit was on the floor waiting to be found! I wore it right away just like I imagined it. My nephews were astonished at how quickly everything transpired. I reminded them of the story about The Power of Henry’s Imagination in the story I read and the prayer that went with it that made it possible to find a missing object!
That’s just one memorable example, but as the days go by I continue to visualize and I have been receiving gifts of various kinds like a check with a generous amount (not a Christmas gift), a hanger I needed for my room, and a perfect size bag for my yoga mat.
You might ask why did I get me those various items without asking others for them? Inspired by the book, The Magic, I have learned to be mindful. Giving thanks to all things I encountered and giving thanks out loud to many people for many reasons. Note that those people I thanked before and at present were the same people who gifted me with all those things. The Magic teaches us the two words that changes everything; Thank you!
