I found The Secret a few years ago and have used it successfully over the years, but there was a time when I stopped using it and fell back into a negative rut. At this time my boyfriend of five years broke up with me. He was in a negative place and said that he needed to be alone for a while to sort things out, so this is when I kicked The Secret into high gear. I refused to get upset with the break up, and acted like we were still together. I knew in my heart that he was the guy for me and that when he was ready he would come back to me. I constantly visualized us being together. I would only think of the happy times we spent together, and visualized all of the things we’d do together in the future. I made a vision board with pictures of us together and would look at it every day. As soon as a negative thought would come into my mind, I would immediately replace it with a positive one. I was determined to not let the negativity win.

So, we had broken up at the end of October and I’m happy to say that we were reunited before Thanksgiving. He realized that he was in love with me, and that we were meant to be together. He said that he wanted to be with me always. The even more amazing part of the story is that he hates the idea of marriage (both of his parents have been divorced multiple times). He said that he’d never get married, so although I wanted to marry him, I decided that being with him as just boyfriend and girlfriend was better than not being with him at all.

Well, we decided to celebrate my 25th birthday in Disneyworld, which is my favorite place on earth. On my birthday we were walking by the castle, and he stopped me to get a picture. Well after we had our picture taken, he looked me in the eyes and started to tell me how much I mean to him and how much he truly loves me. It was so sweet and romantic and of course I started to cry. Then to my utter shock and amazement, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I couldn’t believe it! I was so happy and crying so hard that I barely got the yes out!

This really proves it to me that The Secret does work, and that nothing is impossible. If it can make my boyfriend want to marry me, then it can do anything. Don’t give up hope. Sometimes it takes a while for your dreams to come true but it’s definitely worth the wait.
