When I was very young, my cousin once told me that her dad had told her that, “If you tell yourself something is going to happen for you, then it will happen for you.” I was extremely gullible so I believed every word of it.

One day our neighbor invited me and my sister to come over to play. They had always teased me for being a crybaby and that day I was scared I might get stung by one of those big wasps and be called a crybaby. So I tried to use this super power I had recently learned about. In my head, I repeatedly told myself, “I will not be stung by a wasp”, and then I got stung! For some reason that got me believing that if I tell myself something will not happen, then it would happen!

So when there was a raffle for a Christmas hamper at school and I told myself multiple times, “I will not win” and I won! I kept winning and getting what I wanted when I used my magic powers. Not always, but most of the time. I won multiple prizes, things like hampers, and even trips. My family kept saying I was blessed with luck.

Years passed and I became an adult and forgot about my magic powers. Then one day I was feeling blue, and nothing was going right for me. My friend told me to watch The Secret and stop being so negative. I guess I was still gullible, so I did not think twice and believed everything in The Secret!

I immediately grabbed a piece of paper and I thought of writing a letter to myself. In the letter, I was congratulating myself on owning multiple properties and earning a six-figure income. My goal was financial freedom. I forgot about the letter but I never forgot about my desires.

Four years later I was sorting old documents that had piled up and found the letter again. I was shocked as I just settled in my 6th house and I was earning that 6-figure income. I was not however financially free yet. I had a lot of mortgages. I was so inspired that I started to constantly watch videos of celebrities using the law of attraction and The Secret. I watched Oprah, Drake, Coldplay, and Jim Carrey! I was motivated and I thought to achieve financial freedom I need a large sum of money, maybe a lottery jackpot. So I wrote another letter to my future self congratulating myself on winning the lottery. I also wanted to find love as all my friends were getting engaged except me. So I used a wedding greeting card and congratulated myself and the guy I had a huge crush on, on our wedding. This was 3 years ago. I am now engaged to the person whose name was on that wedding card and also I won the lottery!  And it was for a bigger amount than I had expected! So yeah, I did it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The craziest thing though is that 2 years ago, I had a benign tumor and needed surgery. However, due to the Covid situation, I could not get the surgery done and seemed like it was getting worse. In September of last year, I read my doctor’s referral and it wasn’t looking good. I told myself every day that I am young, I am healthy, I am strong, and I visualized myself having the surgery and I was healthy again.

Then 2 weeks ago I had a follow-up call from my doctor about my most recent scan before I was to be booked for surgery. She told me that she was shocked! It was as if the tumor was never there, and that everything looked really good!

I still get goosebumps every time I successfully create a miracle. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
