I am a huge believer in the power of positive thinking. In fact, every chance I get I talk about it with people I know, strangers and pretty much anyone who will listen.
I am an inside sales rep at a large business analytics firm and I start my day off by envisioning a productive and lucrative day.
Yesterday I decided to take it even further and envisioned a specific call in which a new customer called me and said they wanted to sign up on that first call.
If you’ve worked in Inside Sales even on an inbound team, you know that’s not often the case, but I KNEW it was going to happen.
I put my hand on the phone and literally within 4 seconds the phone rang.
And a large deal was closed on that initial call!
To give you an idea of how rare that is for us, I have been here for 2 months and it hadn’t happened yet and has not happened to any other tenured rep on the team.
