I was thinking about helping in a small way for a long time, specifically having to do with a car though not I’m not really sure why. Maybe I thought of it so that way I can help someone with something I know about. I am not an expert on cars but I know the basic things like changing a flat, jump-starting a dead battery, etc.

So there I was at a gas station earlier today and just as I am about to leave there was a woman there who needed help with her gas cap on her car. It was not closed all the way so the safety feature did let the cap open completely and all I did was turn it until it clicked, unscrewed it and it opened, but that’s not the end of the story. I now had to show her how to fill gas in her car. First she was on the wrong side of the gas pump so she had to re-position her car, so that the fill spout was toward the pump. She then asked what nozzle to use as there was one for diesel and one for gas, and I showed her. From there I then proceeded to show her how to properly open and close the cap on her car. I then selected the type of gas she wanted and lastly I showed her the flap on the nozzle handle that you can use so that you don’t have to keep holding the handle. After all this she thanked me and I went on my way. She was very kind and very polite and I was so happy that I could help her.

Here’s the lesson…

When she told me that she drove all the way from NJ, I didn’t really question how she managed to drive from all the way to South Florida or judge the situation because if I ever do that, it would just send out bad vibes and that is not something I want to do. If you ever find yourself doing that, stop immediately. That judgement is the same as hate which we all know is negative by definition thus sending out negative vibes. Don’t judge situations and especially don’t judge people. That is the worst thing that I found that someone can do. I saw this as an opportunity to help someone out and I am glad that I could.
