For my whole life, I have never really had a group of friends. I had a friend here or there that I would see at school every day, but nobody that I would just call to hang out with on the weekend.

Eventually, I graduated from school and I got very lonely from not being around people my own age. Eventually, I came to the conclusion that I would just decide to find a way to live without friends and focus on my business. After a couple of months went by, it got to the point where I could not live like that anymore. Some days I was ok with it, but when birthdays came around and New Year’s Eve parties, that was when I felt like hanging out with some friends.

So at the beginning of the year, I decided that no matter what happens, I am going to make at least one good friend before the end of the year. So I joined a football team, started looking for friends on apps like Tinder and Bumble, and kept myself open to finding friends through social media as well, but all to no avail. Maybe I was trying too hard?

At the beginning of the year for a few weeks, and also on and off since then, I would sit down and visualize myself with friends at my birthday party which is in July. I would imagine a few people coming over to my house to celebrate my birthday and just hanging out with me.

Eventually, my mum suggested that I try taking a short, 6 month university course in business, something that she had also done the previous year. The course had already started but the teacher decided to let me join as a late enrolment. After receiving my timetable, which was difficult to understand, I made my way to my first class. By the end of the first class, I had made 3 new friends!! I only realized the next day that the class I was in was the wrong class!

The Universe and infinite intelligence guided me to the wrong class because that was where the 3 people were that I would become friends with! So I asked the teacher if I could stay in that class and he said that would be fine.

That was about a month ago, and we have only become better friends since then. The great part is that I had only wanted 1 friend to begin with, and now I have 3! And we are all friends with each other! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

So before my birthday in July, and after we get to know each other a bit more and hang out outside of uni, I am going to ask if they want to come to my house to celebrate my birthday! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
