I Made My Teeth Perfect.
Submitted by: Lila
Ankara, TurkeyI am 22 years old and a believer in The Secret.
I fixed my crooked and angled teeth in my mouth without braces and this is the whole story.
When my adult teeth were first starting to come in, they were not at a perfect angle in my mouth. One of them was coming in at a 90 degree angle. My mother always told me that because I always was touching my teeth with my tongue while they were growing in, I made them this way. And without knowing the real reason behind this explanation, I totally believed my mom. But I also misunderstood something that she did not even point out.
I understood that if my tongue can make my teeth angled then if I pushed my teeth in the right direction then they would be fixed. I did not have any need to tell my mom that I understood this in this way, I just did what I logically thought and believed would work. I started to push my teeth with my tongue to fix them. I spent some time in front of a mirror and I tried to see some changes. By the time I was in high school my teeth were perfect. In high school, I even got compliments about my teeth on how nice they were, and how even and smooth they looked. Some of my relatives asked me if I had invisible braces or something, hahaha! Note: Sorry for my English if I use some inappropriate words for my teeth. I did some translating from my language by saying even and smooth.
When I got to college I learned about the law of attraction, the placebo effect, and The Secret. After learning all those things this story about what happened with my teeth all made sense.
One day I was talking to my mother and I said, “Mom, you know that my teeth got fixed all by themselves without getting braces and they even became perfectly straight.”
She said yes, she did know that.
And then I said, “You know what I think? I think that this is a story about The Secret and the law of attraction since I made it happen because of my belief. Because when you said that I made my teeth grow that way with my tongue, I misunderstood you. I believed that my tongue could rotate my teeth so I tried to fix my teeth by pushing them with my tongue in the right direction when I was a kid.”
She laughed at this part and she agreed with me.
Sometimes knowing less and believing more can work miracles for us. Imagine telling your children that every time they see the sun they get prettier. They would just believe you!
