I Just Believed
I am a teenager. As you can imagine, we teens like technology. But I do not like to take, or spend money, or ask for things that cost money because my single mother works hard enough as it is.
My birthday was approaching and I very badly wanted the iPhone 4, but that is a very expensive gift. So, I imagined me talking on the phone. I searched everything there is to know about it so I would know how to use it when I got it.
On my birthday, we went into a phone store and chose my phone! At the counter, the man said we were with them so long that the phones price would be lowered.
I was so happy that I got the phone but didn’t have to be an expense!
A week later I went camping with my family, and decided I’d tell my cousin about what I had done. She did not believe me, even called me crazy!
I said, “I will prove it to you! I am going to find a heart shaped stone today, half white and half black.” She simply rolled her eyes.
Later that evening we went kayaking, and stopped at a bank to have lunch. As I got out, I lost my balance but kept myself from hitting my head by putting my hands out.
Right next to my right hand was a beautiful heart shaped stone, black and white.
My cousins eyes were so wide!
I carry the stone with me everywhere now, as a reminder that I can do anything now, with visualization and belief.
