I already knew about The Secret from a year ago, and had seen the book in bookstores, but I had no intention to read it yet. Until a friend of mine told me how wonderful his life was since he read the book. Curiously, I bought the book and the DVD, and, well, so amazed. This happened in January 2008.

From that moment I started to manifeste some things, such as meeting with old friends, free lunch, unexpected money, came to work in time, get a taxi quickly, etc. But my biggest manifestation is about my new job.

I’ve been working in one of the biggest malls in town for about a year. But I felt so depressed, because working in this kind of industry doesn’t fit me well, I can’t use my skills, and many people here have a low respect for the employees. Not to mention the salary, because I know I deserve a higher one with my skills and degree.

Well, I started to visualize the perfect job for me:

* It has to be an international company, which has many foreigners work there, so I can improve my language skills.
* The location’s near my house, so I can save my time and money.
* The salary is much better than the old one.

A month ago, I read a job vacancy in the paper from some big company in town. I applied to it and they called me for an interview. From that moment on, every day I visualized myself already working there, and I imagined how happy I was, as if they had hired me. I also emptied my locker at work, and printed out a resignation letter, dated May 20, 2008.

And guess what… on May 19 they called me and said that, yes, they would love to hire me!!!

So, here I am, working in a company that:

* Is a branch of one of the biggest Japanese companies, which means of course there are many foreigners (Japanese) working here. (FYI, I learned Japanese in the university! So I can improve both my Japanese and English)
* The location is… well, I can reach there in only 15 minutes!
* And the salary… double from the old one!

I’m so glad to know this secret, and use it every day now!
