I Had Given Up!

Like many women in their late 30’s I was a single mother who had given up on love. After a few sh*tty relationships, I thought that relationships were simply not for me. I had used The Secret from time to time but I guess I didn’t understand it or didn’t go through with it. But one day, I came across the movie and book again on my night table. I decided to buy the movie online so I could have it on my cell phone and listen to it.
I went back to reading the book, too. Of course, the chapter about relationships was the one I kept going back to. So I started thinking about what I really wanted in a man. Since I am an animal lover and owner of many, I wanted him to love animals as much as I do. I also wanted him to have older kids or none, because I, myself, have a teenage daughter and I thought it would be better that way. I’m a bit ashamed to say that, but I wanted him to have a lot of the same characteristics as my daughter’s father, who’s a great man. After that, I thought about what I wanted him to look like physically. All my life, I wanted to be with a tall man. Every time I was thinking about what he would look like, I always pictured myself with a man much taller than me. But this time I couldn’t bring myself to write that down. I didn’t know why, but couldn’t.
Anyways, I kinda stopped thinking about it and was just going on with my life. One day, a friend of a friend sent me a message on Facebook. We started to chat, then on the phone, then we agreed to go for coffee after he asked me about 20 times. I was thinking, oh well, it’s just a coffee, then he’ll stop bugging me with that. But then when we saw each other, we just knew! He’s got 2 teenage kids, he loves all of my furry kids, my daughter thinks he’s awesome and he’s a bit shorter than me. But strangely, I don’t care! I guess my heart already knew!
Now I am working on attracting my new house. It’s working, guys!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
