I was told that I was being made redundant from my job and I was given very little notice. The package was statutory so very little payout was coming my way. I was starting to panic and have fear because I am a single mum with a mortgage and finding a job quickly during the pandemic was not going to be an easy road.

The same day I found out about my redundancy, I accidentally stumbled on an advert on a company’s website for a position that would have been an excellent step up in my career. It was more money, better prospects, and a fantastic opportunity. So I went ahead and applied, I submitted the application just before the deadline.

Two days later I was invited for an interview. I was so excited. I prepared for two solid days and asked the Universe for guidance. I let it go and believed I would be the best I can be. The interview seemed to go well. I let go of all attachment and accepted that the Universe had my back.

The next day I was doing my grocery shopping when I decided to get a takeaway on my way home. I stopped off at my usual Chinese takeaway and asked if they would take a card payment. She said only cash, so I walked off to find an ATM machine and could not find one. I jumped back in the car and drove to an ATM machine and saw myself standing in front of a different Chinese takeaway, so I went in. I ordered my food, paid in cash, and went home.

After I had my meal I saw a fortune cookie which I don’t usually get from my usual takeaway. I asked the Universe my question and asked to be given my answer in this fortune cookie. When I opened it the message said, “THE ANSWER TO YOUR WORRYING PROBLEM WILL BE RESOLVED BY FRIDAY.”

On that Wednesday morning, I was offered the job. As you can imagine, I was excited and quite freaked out. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Believe in the Universe and believe in yourself. Let go of your attachment and follow the path you are being led on. Even when we find ourselves where we don’t want to be, we are there for a reason.
