I had been going through a very rough patch starting in 2008. My professional life was non-existent. As an ER physician, I hated seeing people suffer so much. There were too many unhappy people around me and I carried this unhappiness with me everywhere. Consequently, my personal and professional life suffered tremendously. In my mind, I had hit rock bottom.

I came across The Secret in December 2014. It changed my life completely.

I started scripting all the things I was grateful for. From having supportive parents to having a house to live in, to being a doctor. Just being grateful for what I already had, reminded me that I had so much already. I realized I was not at the bottom of the well after all. I felt more positive. The feeling that all was not lost and that I still have a chance, propelled me to look for options to improve my life.

I had always wanted to practice Dermatology instead of Emergency Medicine. So, I started writing in my journal that I was the best Dermatologist in the world. Just writing about it gave me the impetus to research more about this field. By the end of 2015, I was enrolled in a short Dermatology course. The following year, I went overseas to study Dermatology full time.

Today, I am so thankful and grateful that I have my own skin clinic. I now make people look good and make them feel good about themselves. I spread happiness and I now see more smiling and happy faces than I had seen earlier. I am eternally grateful.

The Secret showed me that everything is possible, and all the limitations are only in our minds.
