I was given the book “The Secret” by my best friend who’s a physician, in August 2009. She was getting ready to leave for Maine for work, and she tossed me her original copy with a cover that had turned purple from years of exposure to the sun, as she had carried this book with her every day from the backseat of her car to the table beside her pool.

She said, “Just read this with an open mind, and get back to me after you do to tell me what you think.”

I flipped through the pages that evening, and put it down. Work was hectic, I was missing my best friend, and I just didn’t have the time to get into this book that she was so adamant that I read.

A week later, I picked it up and started reading it page to page. I was amazed at how much it all made sense to me, because when I made a conscious effort to look back at my life as it truly had unfolded up to that day, I realized that I had attracted every good thing into my life by thinking clearly and seriously about all of these things that were important to me that had already come to fruition, and were history now.

At the same time, I realized that many of the bad things that happened to me I had attracted also, because these things seemed to happen at a time when I was feeling the most helpless and confused with everything that was happening around me in my environment at the time, and I was not thinking about these things with a very joyful, loving heart.

It’s difficult to sort out all of our prior beliefs, just as this book tells us it will be. The beautiful thing is that once we do, we can manifest anything we desire if we simply ask and believe… and open ourselves up to receiving all of the good that is available to us, and waiting for us from the universe.

I have manifested so many things, from flights opening up to get me to my destination on time when my flight was delayed, to securing contracts that were previously given up for lost, to regaining my health when I was told that I would never be the same again, to always having more money than I need as money seems to appear out of nowhere, whenever I need it the most.

I no longer go to sleep at night worrying about all of the things that went wrong during the day, I go to sleep grateful and thankful for all of the things that went right instead. My life has changed in so many ways for the better, that my life is totally awesome now!
