Yesterday I was walking to pick up my car from its yearly service. I don’t often have time to myself so I decided to continue listening to The Secret via audiobook. I had left it at a point where it was talking about a woman who won lots of competitions. She won them because she believed she would, she told herself she was lucky!

That morning I had entered a few competitions, so out loud I said, “I am lucky, I win competitions, my dad was lucky, I have been lucky before as I won a big competition years ago with various prizes including a trip to St Lucia, and will be lucky again! Thank you!”

Today, I was driving with my kids in the car. My phone rang and I asked my teenager to answer it. I pulled over and was surprised to see it was a video call! I instantly recognized the person on the other side! I have seen them many times on Instagram giving away prizes!

I had won!! I’ve won £40,000! I spent the day walking around in a daze with the biggest smile across my face. The timing of this money couldn’t be more perfect, with a lot going on in my life it will certainly take the pressure off a lot!
