I Am A Miracle, I Got A Second Life!
Submitted by: Melanie Guevarra
PhilippinesI am a development worker in my country.
It was two years ago when I suddenly got very sick. I had Trigeminal Neuralgia. Five doctor specialists and two dentists gave me the same diagnosis. They said that I had all the symptoms and signs of that disease. In fact, all of them told me that I had a textbook description of it. Looking at Wikipedia would tell you that it is the most painful disease in the world, and it is also known as a suicide disease. I had pain on the right side of my head, specifically in my teeth and jaws. During that time, I could not eat, I could not sleep, and no medicine could ever make the pain subside. Doctors said even if I took a ton of pain relievers, the pain would stay. It was horrible. It was the worst nightmare of my life.
For two weeks, I felt the same pain every day. It was excruciating, and all I could do was cry and cry. I got tired of crying, but I could not stop to rest. The pain would not stop. I was in hell. My relatives visited and prayed for me, and some even brought faith healers with them. But even with all of that, I felt no hope, and I felt no relief. All I wanted was to die. I have read on the internet experiences of people having the same illness; most of them tried to kill themselves because they could not stand the pain anymore. I never thought of killing myself, but I prayed and wished to die. Doctors gave me medicine that could subside the pain a little but could also cause organ failure. I had taken just two tables before I stopped.
During all that time, my mom was beside me. Reading the Bible and praying for me. She also read The Secret book to me, line by line. She said that God would have mercy on me, and she had her faith that I would recover even when we knew there was no cure for it. My mom believed I could be healed.
One day, while walking, she bumped into one of her old students. That student told her about a very good dental surgeon who could help with my disease and maybe have me as a case study.
The same day, my mom accompanied me to the dentist’s clinic, which was luckily in our city. I had an X-ray and one of my teeth pulled out. The dentist pointed out that I had gone to the right place, mentioning that the diagnosis from EENTs and Neurologists would naturally be based on their specializations. She assured me that there was hope for my recovery. Later that day, a friend visited me and gave me a supplement. I took a tablet of it. The following day, it felt like the previous day had been a bad dream, and my health had returned. I was no longer in pain and was able to return to work. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
When the phone rang at the office that morning, I answered with joy and gratitude. It was my boss on the other end, surprised at my return and upbeat demeanor. She asked, “You seem so much happier now. What changed?” I replied, “I took a supplement.” She then expressed interest in it too. After that, I became a distributor of that supplement. I feel so blessed. God is good. I got my life back, and I was given more unexpectedly.
I thank my mom for attracting good things to her in order to help me. I thank God for making me well. I thank “The Secret book for giving my mom positivity and hope when I had none. Because of this, I want to pay it forward. I want to attract good things not only for myself but also to help people who feel helpless and hopeless. I try to attract good things every day and to tell things to people that I think may help them.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
