A few years ago, I lost my mother from cancer. I found myself lost confused and depressed. I disconnected from the world and from everything I loved.

My younger sister told me about the The Secret and how she was applying the teaching. I went and bought the book but I just couldn’t open the book. It was as if I didn’t deserve to enjoy anything in life.

Two months later I was in my room and I saw the book. I opened it and started to read it, I mean really read it. I began doing little things to change my mood and my state of numbness. I developed a board with all the things I wanted. I printed out the empty check and placed the amount I wanted the universe to send to me. I made space for the man I wanted in my life, in my bed dressers, closet space, etc.

And guess what?

One day I open my mailbox and even though it was not the amount I wrote, it was close! $4000 and I had asked for $10.000. I went on vacation and met the man that I was meant to be with, and almost everything I wanted on the board, I got!

I traveled about 10 times on vacations during that year. I got a new job, I got all the bags I wanted, new clothing and completed my MSW in social work.

I have to admit, we can be our own failures. Sometimes when we see that we are achieving our goals, we become afraid and place obstacles due to the fear of the unknown.

I am so honored and blessed to know that the The Secret does work. If you channel the positive energy of the Universe and proclaim what you want as if you have it, the Universe will bring it to you.

It’s been five years since I have been with the love of my life and I am grateful and honored to be part of the wonderful experience called the The Secret.
