How The Secret Helped My Substance Abuse.
Submitted by: Recovering Alcoholic life change.
Boston, MAMy name is Austen Sutton I am a student in recovery from alcohol. The Secret has changed the way I think and my faith in a higher power.
My story is about how The Secret helped my substance abuse.
I was a vicious alcoholic, which led to many horrible events in my life. During my time in incarceration, I came across a little red book titled “The Secret.” So I decided to check it out. I read it a few times and thought it was just nonsense and I had all the answers already, although my life was still going down the drain.
Three years later, the Universe brought me and “The Secret” face to face again, and this time, I said to myself that I would give it a chance.
I have been drawing, writing, and creating vows for things that I desired. Now, I am no longer homeless. I have my wife and kids back. I am a certified PT. I work at a gym, and I have manifested so many other blessings and gifts that have been falling in my life. As long as I believe and focus on what I really want, I will get it; I know it is on the way to me.
The way I think today is like I have a superpower. I am not just writing here to boast about how my life is literally second to none today. I still go to AA meetings. I got sober twice before and failed. I realized that my brain’s frequency and my focus were off, and that I had to get them back, and I did. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
