How I Won A Chess Tournament
Submitted by: John
ChicagoI am a 15 year old boy who likes chess. I changed my name for privacy purposes.
Thank you for making the movie The Secret.
I got to watch the movie from a DVD that my cousin had in a CD player. I attracted The Secret because every night before I got to watch the movie, I would ask:”What are the secrets to the universe?” I was reading astronomy at the time. When I got The Secret it was almost as if I have been answered after 6 months of asking. It was shocking to me.
I have seen it work in my life in a lot of circumstance and especially when I had forgotten about what I was thinking about, wasn’t paying attention or was in the greatest emotional state which is that of gratitude.
When it happens, it’s amazing.
I decided to use it to win the youth chess championship. Everyday I would visualize the trophy and I would train. I would be grateful. Everyday I gave it my all.
When the tournament came I faced the strongest opponents and emerged the victor. I felt positive and sharp when I played and I won.
When the final round came, I saw the trophies and was excited that I was going to win. However, my last opponent was also unbeaten. I lost the last round. It became impossible for me to win the title now.
At least that’s how I felt for 1 minute.
I went outside and began to visualize having the trophy in the now. I was excited about it. Then I was called in and was told that the individual who beat me had one more match to go.
And guess what?
He lost.
There were now 4 of us tied for first place. There was still hope. We played rapid games among ourselves and I won all of them. I felt so sharp and fast during play. I felt invisible.
I won the title!
I was so happy. It was like magic. I thought I had lost. Wow. Thank you to The Secret Team!!
I will never forget that moment.
Evidence is ever present in my experience.
It’s strange and I sometimes scratch my head.
Thank you.
