How I Met My Husband Will Amaze You!
Submitted by: HomieAJ
Sydney, AustraliaI am a mum with 3 children and a husband. I work part time as a manager of a health food store.
I was in my late 20s and had broken up with a man I was dating for 8 months and who I played in a band with. I went overseas to Europe to get over the heartbreak. When I got back, I made up my mind that I would change my life, stop being miserable and depressed and find the man I was going to marry. I just wanted a nice normal guy to settle down with.
I played guitar and was also determined to get back to playing and to find my soul mate.
I posted an advert for a guitarist in local music stores. I had several calls and found a band I liked and joined them. I had one last call from a guy I will call Anthony, asking if I was still looking for a band. I took the call at my office at my day job and told him that I had found a band.
He told me he was an architect and played the drums and I had a conversation with him but left it at that. I remember thinking he seems like a nice guy. I had placed an ad on the internet also, on a dating site. I sifted through 50+ potential guys and then came across his message to me. He noted in his message that he was an architect and played drums. I thought to myself “Is this the guy I just spoke to a few months ago about the band”?
I met up with a few guys from the site but many were a bit strange and not suitable and I was about to give up. So I thought I would try one last person, Anthony.
When I rang him, he had no idea who I was. We spoke and realized that he was the same guy that called me about the band gig!!
We met up a week later and began seeing each other weekly, then daily. Our star signs also aligned and he looked like the normal nice guy I had imagined. He cancelled an offer for a job in USA to stay with me.
We now have 3 children and are still married 20 years later. I believe I created my own destiny and out of all the people in this city, we were destined to meet. This story still amazes me to this day!
