How I Landed My Dream Job As A Flight Attendant.
Submitted by: Eunice G.
Saudi ArabiaMy name is Eunice and I am currently based in Saudi Arabia where I am working as a flight attendant. I just want to share my story how applying the teachings from The Magic changed my life. Thank you to the Universe and thank you to Rhonda and the people behind The Secret.
Thank you so very much to everyone for sharing your inspirational stories. Thank you so very much to Rhonda for sharing The Secret and the law of attraction with the world. I have known about The Secret since I was in high school when my professor shared his knowledge about it with us.
I always dreamed about being a flight attendant but during my college days, I was not able to take a tourism course due to financial issues. That was why I shifted to taking a business course instead. After I finished college, I was able to land a job overseas as an office secretary. My heart was full of joy and excitement for the opportunity, and to know that I could go to another country to work and explore. Coming from a small town in a small province, it had always been a dream for me to go to another country. It was also my first time to ride in an aircraft and also the first time for me to have a face to face encounter with a flight attendant. I was so amazed and happy to do so! That was when I remembered my dream when I was a child, which was to be a flight attendant. After that, I said to myself that I would be a flight attendant someday.
A year had passed by and I was still working in an office. Things were not going so well, the pay was not good and I could not even afford a ticket to go to my home country for vacation. I always said to myself, if only my job was being a flight attendant, then I could go home easily and I could travel where ever I wanted to go.
I was so desperate to find a new job to replace my current one. I tried sending a lot of job applications to different job descriptions online. And then I saw this online job posting looking for a flight attendant in the same city I was working in. I was so thrilled and excited! I always thought this was the only way out. I had to get this job, that was it! I sent an online application and after 2 weeks I received a rejection email saying that I did not pass the online application. I was so devastated. That was my first heartbreak for this flight attendant thing. I was feeling so hopeless and I did not know how to get out of my situation.
Then I remembered The Secret, the book that was shared by my professor back when I was in high school. I went to the bookstore looking for it but I found The Magic book instead. I started practicing it every day. From that day on, I started to be grateful for what I had now and I realized that was the thing I had missed! I was so caught up in complaining and looking for a better job without realizing that I was not being grateful.
I started to appreciate the things that I had and I stopped sending job applications to every job posting that I saw. I just said to myself that I will be grateful no matter what, and that the right time would come for me to land a flight attendant job. I do not know how but I will have faith in it. I promised myself to always be happy and grateful for ‘right now’.
It was about 2 months later when I received an email saying that I had passed the online screening and they were inviting me for a job interview as a cabin crew member! I was so thrilled, tears of joy were flowing to my eyes as if I had already been hired. I was not expecting any interviews anymore because I had stopped applying 2 months ago. I could barely even remember when I had put in my application with that company. It is funny because the interview date was the same day as my brother’s birthday. I was even joking with him to make a wish that I would get hired.
When I went to the interview, all I thought about was how grateful I was for the opportunity. No matter what happens, if I get hired or not, I will still be happy. Having been given this opportunity to get interviewed let me know that there was still hope, that I could still pull my dreams off.
Getting signs is really true. I always get those odd signs. However, on the day that I was going to get hired, I did not even notice them, at the time, anyway. But they were there. From my supportive boss saying that this job would suit me when I asked him to give me leave for me to attend the interview, to the guy I saw on the elevator when I was on my way to the interview hall. He just approached me and asked me where I was going. I said that I was going for an interview and he wished me luck and said that he could feel that I was going to be hired. And, after the interview, I got hired! I still was surprised! I did not know how I got there. I was just so thankful to the Universe and to everyone. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Everything made sense now. All the mistakes and rejections that I had. I was just so happy. Now I am living a life as a flight attendant! I have been currently employed for 3 years and counting. I am really happy in this job and with this company which is really caring and employee friendly. I can go home whenever I want to. The company gives us enough days off for us to travel every month. I can travel with discounted tickets including with my family members. I am so very thankful for the Universe, for the law of attraction, and of course, for The Magic.
Always have faith in the unseen and leave the ‘hows’ to the Universe. Most importantly, always be grateful and happy in every situation because for everything that happens that may not seem good, there is always a better reason behind it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
