How I Got My Dream Job
Submitted by: John
IndiaLoves everyday of work
This happened more than 2 years back when I was in college. It was my final year of engineering and many companies were coming and visiting our campus to hire students.
I used to sit for each and every company and get rejected over and over again. I had read The Secret and The Power long time back, but never really implemented anything because I was too lazy. But this time I was getting really desperate as most of my classmates got jobs except for a couple of people. So, I turned to my only hope, The Secret.
I imagined myself getting offered a job, everyday and whenever I can think I used to think positive on me getting a good job. And then a big software company came to my campus, and I sat for it knowing I would get it. But I got rejected for that also. I think I wasn’t specific about getting that particular job.
But, this still didn’t deter me from practicing The Secret. I used to read a part of The Secret and imagine getting a job. After a couple of days they announced another software company was coming to the campus. So I knew this was my chance and I imagined getting the job for this specific company every day, almost every free time I get. And I sat for their written test, which I think I did OK. And I along with many others were selected for the next round, the interview.
This was where I experienced something really incredible. During the interview, the interviewers asked me questions about concepts which I had learned years back and I answered them with crystal clear clarity. Generally I have a very bad memory, but that day something really magical happened. I could clearly remember things that I knew so faintly.
And yes, I got the job.
After 2 years, I still love my job and I’m really good at it too. But, unfortunately I didn’t follow the concepts of LOA after that (call it laziness), and a lot of things in my life are not how I wanted it. So, I’m back, and I’m taking an oath to myself to turn it around just how I did 2 years back and get what I want.
I also wanted to inspire someone else that the impossible is in fact possible. What I experienced on that day of the interview was something I have never experienced in my life.
Forever grateful to Rhonda and her team. Thank you so much.
