Hold out for happiness
Submitted by: Stephen V.
Sacramento, CASo I just moved to Sacramento and I needed a job. I had worked at Wal-Mart and I swore to myself I wouldn’t work there again because it would feel like a step backward for me.
As two months went by, I started to receive pressure from my dad to get a job. I was about to simply settle for Mc Donalds (which is two steps back for me) when I remembered that I should hold out for a job I could really love.
I was looking on Craigslist and found a martial arts instructing job that would be perfect for my student schedule. I had finally found it and thought about it for about a week.
Nothing happened, so I got creative. Two days ago, I sent an E-mail from one of my old accounts to my new one. I pretended to be the business happily accepting me as an instructor.
They called me today for an on-the-job interview next week. The gentleman told me that 5 people were selected as possible candidates, AND I WAS ONE OF THEM!
I will keep you guys updated on my progress.
