I feel so fortunate to have a friend introduce me to The Secret right at the perfect time.

As a senior in college, I had everything I wanted. A loving boyfriend, amazing sorority sisters, a supportive family, a great job right after graduation that allowed me to stay in my college town and close to my boyfriend; life was amazing.

As soon as I graduated, I felt like my life was crumbling. I guess I let the pressure of entering the “real world” affect me in a negative way. I had to move out of my sorority house away from my friends, I wasn’t enjoying my job, and I was letting my depression ruin my relationship. My boyfriend eventually broke up with me, which made me even more depressed. I let this negativity follow me to work every day, and consequently was fired.

They say when it rains, it pours. Well that’s only because of the law of attraction. I hated my life, so naturally I was attracting more bad things happened to make me dislike life even more. I got into a car accident, I gained weight, my cat died; it seemed like bad luck was following me.

Looking back, I couldn’t be more grateful for hitting rock bottom. It allowed me to start over to create a life I actually wanted. My friend introduced me to The Secret and I decided to put it to use.

I wasn’t sure how I was going to do everything, I just envisioned myself where I wanted to be, and it happened. I was stuck in a lease with 3 other friends, so I was trapped in a town where there was nothing left for me. I felt bad breaking the lease and leaving them to pay the extra rent. Well, to my surprise, they all wanted to break the lease as well. Two of them were moving out of state to start jobs, and the other was moving in with her boyfriend.

Once I moved out and back to my hometown, things started falling into place. I decided I wanted to move abroad to become an au pair, and I ended up finding the perfect family in Rome, Italy. I easily found a desk job to save up for my year long endeavor and I actually enjoyed going to work. I started working out daily, which not only got me back in shape, but improved my mood.

I only though positive thoughts, and ended up achieving things I didn’t think were all that possible before. The Secret has changed my life in so many ways, and I continue to use it every day.
