Helping My Kids Use The Secret.

My husband and I have been using The Secret for 10 years. Over this time we have read all subsequent books and try daily to live with gratitude! Our family during this time has grown and daily on the school run we do our “daily thanks”. Each kid says 5 things they love! This past year I introduced the children’s books, The Power Of Henry’s Imagination to my youngest and The Secret To Teen Power to my 2 eldest girls! I felt it was time they truly “got it”!

Whilst on holidays in Spain, on a glorious day spent jumping huge waves, my daughters sunglasses fell off into the ocean! The waves continued to rush in and out! Despite her efforts to get them back, they were gone! These were cheap glasses but they were her favorites. I could see she was upset so I swam to her and told her Rhonda’s’ story of her missing dog. I explained that to continue looking for the lost glasses while being upset would only bring more “lost”! I told her to imagine having them again and let it go!

Another hour of jumping and laughing together in the waves ensued. We all decided to take a break and sit out awhile. Around an hour later my 10 year old son encouraged us all to head back into water for our last 1/2 hour before going home. Again there was huge waves and great family fun jumping in them. Another huge wave came and my son shouted “I think I felt your glasses Naoise!!!”. I put my foot on the seabed where he was and gripped my toes around and yes, I felt her sunglasses!!!! They were folded and sitting just waiting for her in the sand under the massive waves!!! Oh the joy and whoops of delight that followed! I asked Naoise what had she visualised and she said “I imagined them folded and at the house waiting for me.”.

I know this story is just about cheap sunglasses but the lesson it has shown my me and my children is that The Magic, The Power, The Power Of Henry’s Imagination, The Secret To Teen Power and The Secret are truly magical.
