As a child I was a very confused and angry little girl. My father had left my mother, sister, and I right at the beginning. All that remained was our anger and heartbreak. I quickly became defiant and anxious, I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and felt no self worth. When I got older I was repeatedly abused and began using drugs. I was depressed and desperate for an answer. There were some days that I could not bear the thought to take another breath and each one was a struggle.
A couple years later at work one day and my Boss comes in and sits all the employees down. She tells us that she has something she wants to share. I figured it was another movie on safety. Then “The Secret” appears and I was instantly intrigued. Afterwards I began to ask questions and do research. I felt determined to change my life. I enrolled in college and did not know what I was going to graduate in or how I was going to pay for it; I just believed. It ended up that I got a complete grant federal funding for my college.
After time went by I began to loose sight of the principles that I had learned from “The Secret”. I hit rock bottom when I had applied for the nursing program and received a letter that I had not been accepted. I was devastated and thought, “How could this be, I worked so hard for this?” That week I quit my job as well and began to become very depressed once again. After some time I began to pull myself together and to watch “The Secret” everyday. I also read books by other authors who discussed the law of attraction. I became very passionate about this. So I decide to with my boyfriend (now husband), write down one thing that each one of us really wanted. I wrote down that I wanted to work at this specific company working with teens, and he wrote down that he wanted a job at this software company. I taped the piece of paper with are request on the mirror in the bathroom, and began to look at it constantly.
A couple weeks went by when I received a call from a company that was wanting to interview me for a position working with teens. Needless to say, I got the job and thought how wonderful the power of attraction had worked for me. A couple weeks after that my husband also got the job at the software company. We were so excited and thought quickly about what we wanted to do next. I suggested that we purchase a home? Well, no joke, six weeks later I signed the papers to our new four bedroom, two bath beautiful home. It doesn’t stop there though. I had applied for the nursing program for the second time and was accepted!
Wonderful events are unfolding and I am excited to continue with my dedication and belief in the law of attraction!
