He Said Yes!

Sweden27 years old, living in a small town, loves her friends and family. I have big travel and career dreams.
I work at a media agency in a small town with a great yet very conservative boss. I love the job and the colleagues are great! The only thing I could wish for is more travel in my life.
I really caught the travel bug when I was in LA studying for 6 months last year. I’m single with no kids so when I got back to my small hometown after my LA adventure, I immediately felt so stuck. All I wanted to do was continue my travel adventure, especially now when I don’t have any real commitments in my life. But I was broke, I needed to get back to work and get my finances back on track. So of course I did, I had to.
Then I found out about The Secret. A friend lent me the book and from the first page I was struck, I loved it! It felt too good to be true but it gave me hope and I have always believed in being positive and all that. So what did I do? I bought a vision board and put “He said yes!” in the middle of the board which aimed at my boss letting me work online for a few months. You should know that my boss letting one of his employees work online is as unlikely as some other boss letting their employee go to the moon. So with that being said, my colleagues pretty much laughed at me when I told them about my plans. But I just kept believing and imagining that he had already said yes. I saw my vision board every day and every time I did I smiled big and said “thank you, thank you, thank you for letting me do this!!!”
Six months later I got a meeting with my boss about my request. And he said “No, I am sorry but I am just not there yet”. I went home crying of course. But then I decided that “Ok, this wasn’t meant for me, something better is about to happen to me”.
The very next day at work I was called in to his office again you know what?
He said yes!!!
So to everyone out there, keep believing, be grateful for everything you already have and more will come to you. I’m convinced!
