A few weeks ago I was in a panic about college.

I had no money for College and I keep getting rejections from colleges. That same week I was in my living room folding laundry and I decided to revisit The Secret.

I had been familiar with it and manifested small things with it. I stumbled upon the Oprah episode where the guests were part of The Secret team, so I decided to watch the episode. As I was watching it one of The Secret members stressed the importance of having faith and believing in what you want.

I decided I wanted to go to Stanford University and I decided that a letter would come telling me the happy news and that along with that letter, another letter would come telling me that I have won a full scholarship to the university of my choice and that I would be set for the next 4 years. I cried because I knew, like I knew, that it was on it’s way.

The day of my sister’s birthday my father went to go get her cake and passed for the mail.

And you know what was in the stack of mail?

Two letters for me. My acceptance letter to Stanford and the letter informing me of the full tuition scholarship that I had won!

I cried of how happy I was and so did my family and that’s when I knew that The Secret really worked. I knew I had the power to shape my life.
