I watched The Secret by myself and I was amazed at how it coincided with my Christian faith. As I watched the video I noticed scriptural references that could be applied to the principles given.

At first I started to apply those principles to the little things. For example, I was shopping with my husband and 16 month old child when I saw the perfect educational toy for my son. I was visualizing my son’s enjoyment playing with the toy and feeling pretty good about it. Just as I was about to reach down for it, a woman butted in front of me and literally took it right from under me. It was the last toy on the shelf. What the woman had done was so blatantly rude that even another customer felt the need to comment on it; but I refused to lose my bliss and allow any “bad feelings” to emerge. I let it go, or “turned the other cheek.” No sooner than I walked around the corner, I happened to look down and find the same exact toy tucked away in the back of a bottom shelf. Not only did we wind up with the toy, a family member wound up paying for it.

That was just one example of how The Secret has affected my life. My relationship with my husband is so much more than what it was. My son always seemed to be coming down with a cold and when he started coughing again, I began to visualize him healthy and happy and started speaking health over him and he hasn’t coughed since. I am more at peace with myself and with others who used to get at me. I’m noticing that I am attracting more money. I started carrying around gratitude rocks and found myself always happy no matter what situation came my way. My husband noticed this change and he has since watched The Secret with me and is now applying it in his life too. I can see only more good things coming our way. I’m believing for our dream house to be paid in full, including all our dream furnishings and enough money in the bank for me or both my husband and I to retire!
