I Am The Great Attraction Of Good.
Submitted by: Vera M.
My natural home is the great state of Washington.I am a person who believes in the power of God, love, and light in my life. I love to spread the good news of the Bible and God's amazing love.
Over the last year and a half, I had been working on a work project. The project was assigned to me midstream. The project was in trouble when I was assigned to it. There was a definitive end date and if it was not finished by that time, millions of dollars in penalties would be incurred. I knew the only way to complete the project on time. I read all the faith scriptures I could find and began memorizing them. I put them all around my monitors at work. Every day when I came into my cube, I laid on the ground and prayed. Then I got up and read each scripture especially Mark 11.22-24. Then I went about my day.
When my team member came to me with doubt, or pessimism, I would redirect their words and let them know that all was possible. I broke the project up into phases. As we successfully completed each phase on time, we would celebrate our accomplishment. With each phase my team expressed their doubts, fears, and pessimism. I countered it by sending them personal thank you notes and left cards on their desk to build up their personal and the team moral. With each phase we improved!
I then added additional reviews to help my team deliver a stellar product. With each of these new reviews my team grumbled and complained. As we implemented them our product got better and better.
By our last phase, because the project was highly visible and the number one project for the company, tensions increased. Upper level leaders began to spread fear, lack of confidence and pessimism. I continued to thank my team for their work, leave cards, praying and reviewed my Scriptures. My development team delivered the product so early that my testing team was able to test early. We were so ahead of schedule that the user community was able to test the product before delivery as well. We ended up delivering the product early.
However, the true test was yet to come. We had to prove the product would work in production. The first test was a major milestone scheduled for a particular weekend. If we missed it or if the product did not work, the company would lose millions. The product ran and was successful that weekend!
The reason we were successful was that my mind was on God and God’s immeasurable blessings. I activated Mark 11.22-25 which includes our ability to pray, ask, create, believe, have faith, receive and hold to a forgiving heart no matter how any people or events around us react. When people and events react negatively but we do not, the continual flow of love and gratitude is allowed to be received from God and the Universe. It flows continually becoming a part of the process and making the project and process divine!
Now, I am praying and believing for my daughter and our road trip as she begins University of Southern California. Thank you so very much Rhonda! Thank you Rhonda Byrne for The Secret! Thank you, Rhonda, for all that you have done to get The Secret out there!!! Thank you for your glorious voice and brilliant smile!!! Thank you for introducing me to Catherine Ponder via her book The Millionaires of Genesis. I am so thankful for her book! Thank you for reintroducing me to Napoleon Hill. I read his book at an early age and had no idea what he meant by ‘think’. Your revealing of The Secret opened my comprehension! Now, I am living in God’s loving, love filled and lovely magical world. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
