Over the past two years I have read The Secret, watched the movie several times and constantly played the CD’s in my car. I also read The Secret stories to give me hope and inspiration, a truly great service.

I tried really, really hard to live by The Secret and understood it on a certain level but kept getting disheartened, forgetting everything I had learned and feeling that I hadn’t really ‘got it’.

Then I bought The Magic and for the first time really feel as though I’m ‘getting it’ and that I am understanding about Gratitude on a whole new level. Some of the exercises I have found quite hard but I am extremely grateful for their guidance and as I’ve stuck at it and as my Gratitude for absolutely everything increases I have experienced many Magic Moments over the last couple of weeks. But yesterday I had such an astounding Magic Moment that I just had to share it and hope that it inspires others to keep the faith.

Exactly a week ago one of my exercises in The Magic was to print out a Magic Cheque from the Universe and write on it the amount I wanted and to then imagine feeling Gratitude for already having the things I wanted to buy with it. I wrote the cheque for £500 and imagined feeling so excited and grateful for the cream sofa I had set my heart on. I then taped the cheque to a surface in my kitchen where I saw it every time I walked in the room.

Yesterday my Mum called me. I had offered to paint some newly renovated rooms in her home and she asked me if I felt that £500 would be suitable payment for the job!! I was speechless as I had no idea she would pay me so much.
It was only after I put the phone down, turned round and saw my cheque on the wall that I realised I had brought about this amazing amount of money purely by thoughts of Gratitude.

I realise now what was missing from my understanding of The Secret before – GRATITUDE. You cannot say ‘Thank you’ enough for the things you already have. The more you say it, the more you feel it and the quicker amazing things happen in your life.
