This happened in late 2019. I was looking for a job and was not getting any interview calls. I was trying to keep my spirits up when a call came for a job that I did not remember applying for. But when I checked the description it matched what I was looking for.

I got super excited, sent them my documents, prepared for the interview, and gave it. The interview went amazingly well. However, a day or 2 after the interview, doubts started creeping into my mind about the office location, the travel time, the job profile, etc. As I got more and more anxious about the outcome, the answer for the interview kept getting delayed which increased my anxiety. Eventually, the agency called back and said though they loved me, they were going with another candidate but would like me to join 6 months down the line for another position.

I was crushed for allowing doubts to enter my mind and for having lost a good opportunity. After a good cry, I gathered my wits and decided to do The Magic practices. It put my mind on a very positive note. I started thinking positively about the experience and then I let it all go.

Well, what do you know?!! By day 5 of The Magic practices, the agency called back and said the other candidate had declined and they wanted me to join ASAP. This happened as I was happily cleaning my home thinking about the interview!!

A month later I started on the new job. I love my work, my team, and I am looking forward to learning more.

This is just one of the many many things that I have managed to bring into my life including healthy relationships, a good marriage, and whatnot. Whenever I feel hopeless, I come here to read stories and to pull myself up. Now I am sharing my own, hoping that it helps another person somewhere.
