I heard about The Secret while watching a YouTube video this past summer of Oprah. It was about the law of attraction featuring Rhonda herself, Dr. Michael Beckwith and others. At the time things seem to be just going “okay” with my life. I invested in myself by buying all the books including The Power, Hero, The Magic, How The Secret Changed My Life and The Secret Daily Teaching. Expensive, but well worth it. I started applying it to my finances, my relationship, small things, big things, you name it and it all worked! At the time I felt like a magician. I was on such a roll that my friend would say, “Your mojo is on a roll.” I would think of people I hadn’t seen in years and they would show up. I manifested pink pens, a rainbow that would appear and disappear just as quickly, checks would come in the mail from settlements and when I was focusing on gratitude in my relationship it blossomed like never before.

Everything was beautiful until I started complaining about little things in the relationship. I was worried about money and complained about my job. Every little thing irritated me. My relationship was going down hill just as fast as water into a sink and no more checks in the mail. In fact, I got a bill that I owed to a company for a past bill that was so long ago. I hated my job so much that I put in my two weeks’ notice. Life was just not working out.

So, I picked back up the only weapon I knew that worked like a charm. I started finding gratitude and being happy amid everything going on around me before I knew it. I started wondering when my mojo would kick in and it was today.

I went shopping with my mom which I really didn’t want to do. She literally had to keep asking me because I just wanted to stay at home and in some twisted way feel sorry for myself. I wanted to try to fix the outside, which we all know isn’t the answer; it’s the inside that needs to be fixed. Long story short, I went to the store and my mom took forever shopping, I was literally ready to go.

I decided to go into the books section. The store was a very old store, sort of like a warehouse so one wouldn’t expect to find much in it. So, I said to myself, “The Secret and The Shack books are in here somewhere, I can feel it.” A lady was in front of me just looking around. As I began looking, she was in the way. I waited until she moved and my eyes skimmed from one shelf to another. There were 3 shelves there. As I skimmed each shelf I said: “I’m going to find these books sitting right here.”. I strolled to the very edge and there it was, in between James Patterson books, was The Secret!! I was amazed. I was shocked, to say the least, because though it’s a popular book, it’s not commonly found in such stores, especially on a shelf that was completely unrelated to murder mysteries and Danielle Steel’s love books. I picked it up and said, “My mojo is back.” I went to put the book in the basket and came back down to see if The Shack was there. Again, I skimmed one shelf to the next, and there it was lying in between some children’s books. I felt so happy and I still do now.

I got my mojo back! I can do anything I want to now! Who is going to stop me?! Now I’m going to start this business, blossom my relationships, and get my finances back flowing because the mojo is back and this is the first step to greatness!
