I’d like to start my story by saying that you must believe it is possible to retrieve what you want. It may seem hard and you will have ups and downs but believe me,  it is worth it and you will receive exactly what you have asked for in the end!

Thank you to Rhonda Byrne and her entire team. You really are an inspiration to people of all ages, in all situations. I would also like to thank everyone who submitted their stories. They helped me massively to stay positive, as I would turn to the website whenever I felt down.

I read stories and advice on the website and in the book. I followed tips from other people in similar situations and stayed positive as much as I possibly could through a hard time.

Me and my boyfriend had been arguing for weeks on end, we weren’t as happy as we once were and we stayed together for ease and routine. We had a big argument and didn’t speak for a few days, but then we met and both decided to give it another go. We were better for a few days but things again went downhill very quickly. We had another big argument one evening and I left, expecting us to sort things out or discuss things the next day. He didn’t contact me, so I called him and he said that he was done, he didn’t want to be with me and asked me to not contact him. I agreed even though I didn’t want to finish things.

The first few days were the hardest and of course, I messaged him and asked how and why he would walk away from this. I asked to meet him, he didn’t want to. I texted, he either ignored me or took ages to reply and when he did, he was nasty and blunt. I called, no answer. I was heartbroken and didn’t know what to do with myself. I lost weight as I wasn’t eating much and laid awake at night worrying, thinking of all the negatives, blaming him for things that went wrong and couldn’t understand why he wasn’t coming back to me.

I then remembered The Secret and began reading it again. I watched the film and also ordered “The Power”, “The Daily Teachings” and “The Magic”. Even though I recommend all books, The Magic was amazing; I practiced Day 3, Day 7, Day 13 and Day 15 the most.

I read the other books too and learned that instead of blaming him and holding onto grudges, I should forgive him for the things that had happened and send him loving thoughts throughout the day. The Secret teaches you to give love and you cannot give love if you are constantly thinking negative thoughts. You cannot give love if you constantly think about everything you don’t love or things that could have been better.

I would wake up in the mornings, giving thanks for everything I had and even for things that I was looking to receive, by believing I already had them.

I learned to let go. Now, this is something that can be massively misinterpreted and misconceived; you must learn the real meaning of The Secret and “letting go” of something. Some people think, “Why am I letting go, I want him or her?”, but the whole reason you must let go is to release resistance so the Universe can bring you what you want and have asked for.

I wrote a letter to the Universe asking for a better relationship, for better financial status, for a good job, and for my life to get better in general. I forgot about the letter and continued with my daily routines in being positive and thanking the Universe. I let go of negative thought and negative energy and worry because I believed that everything that I wanted and asked for would come true.

I stopped trying to contact him, I kept myself busy and met with friends, I even met another boy in the week we didn’t speak at all. He was lovely and helped me completely forget and let go of any negativity I had. This was when I knew how to truly “let go”.

A day after this, he contacted me. We spoke about everything and decided to give it another go. After some time readjusting and learning, we are now,  we were amazing! No silly arguments, no getting angry, no blaming, no grudges and most of all; no negativity!

He eventually told me he’d always wanted this to work and that he wanted to spend his life with me and have a family just like we’d dreamed of. He told me everything I wanted to hear after all of this time.

Without The Secret, I would never have gained back this amazing relationship with my soul mate.

Now I use the story for my daily life. I have gained a new job, my business on the side is flourishing and I am earning double the amount of money I used to. I have a new car and am moving to an amazing new house with my family.

I hope my story helps a few people and please remember, do not lose hope,  you can do it just like I did.
