I had been struggling with anxiety and depression for a couple of years. During this time I had two babies 11 months apart and just found out my mother had Alzheimer’s disease. My fiance and I had basically put our initial plans on hold and took immediate care of my mom. It was such a rollercoaster of sadness and torment and inner struggles with myself daily while I watched my gorgeous babies develop and while my vibrant, sweet, intelligent mom declined rapidly. This had all been happening outside of the US where we live and in my mother’s home in the Caribbean. On top of it all, her finances were all over the place and she was close to being broke. We sold our vehicles and our few possessions back home and moved to where she was.

She had a million dollar home she inherited from her father but no one wanted to buy or rent it. Realtors came and went. We also have a family owned business but it was not making any income. We were paying people to work and couldn’t close because this country has a law that would require us to pay every employee a specific severance pay for years employed. I was desperate and my fiance was not working and I had just had a c-section and had a toddler and baby to take care of.

I used to be into The Secret and had been very positive and had lived in abundance before all of this but my depression was so overwhelming I just stayed stuck. But then things started to change. Awesomeness was around the corner.

Right before xmas last year I found my copy of The Secret. Something inside me shifted. It was instant. I picked up the book out of an old drawer, had memories of my happier times and highlights of the book itself. I went right back to practicing The Secret again. That was the start of the end of my sadness. I am so happy now. Here are some of the fantastic changes I went through:

12/1  I did not have enough money to buy gifts for xmas. I decided to go to sleep that night thanking the Universe for my family and all the gifts I would be able to buy them with my $10,000 budget. Mind you, this was a crazy number but I decided to go big so I told the Universe how grateful I was for the money that was on it’s way. The next day I got a call for a rental on our home. 10k for a family of 6 to stay here for a month! I used the money to take us back to the states for xmas. We had a lovely time and even had some money left over. An amazing end of year and beginning to 2016!

We returned early February and we were back in the sad reality. I went back into that hole for just a second. Then I got back up and made a date saying I would have enough money to pay to close up shop and move us all back to the states with enough money to rent a house and buy a car.

3/15  I received a check from some land my mom owned and forgot she had been selling. It was a nice amount but not quite enough to move with a safe budget and extra. Well, the check came with a note saying I would receive triple the amount in a few months for the remaining balance, since the contract was written to be paid on several dates so the buyer could have time to accumulate enough income.

6/9/  I receive not triple but quadruple the amount.

6/12   The top realtor in my area contacted me wanting to represent my house. She already has potential buyers but wants to do it all the best way she can and that’s by not having us live in the house so she can have open houses at a moment’s notice.

6/27  We have packed up our house and are moving back home. We now have enough money to move, close up shop, buy a new home and live comfortable for a whole year with extra money left over so we can get back on our feet and get accustomed to life again in the states.

Just to add some cherries on top here are a few things I also got using positive thoughts:

I had missed shopping back home and wanted to buy online without using our newly found money. I found a $500 gift card for Amazon.

I had been worried that I would face some problems with legally taking over my mom’s finances but handed it over to the Universe. I found her last will and testament in a lock box while packing.

I needed help packing our things in such a short time frame and had to find boxes, the workers at our shop volunteered and found them and all needed packing equipment as well.

I wanted a caretaker for mom who she knew since we were moving her and I wanted it to be the least traumatic as possible. Her personal assistant told me she loves my mom and has come by to help with her a lot. She wants to move with us so she can be her full time caretaker. I just hired her.

The best thing so far is that I have not had depression or anxiety for this entire time. I used to be socially anxious and had borderline personality disorder. I feel so free being happy, it is almost like feeling new.

I am so grateful for my life and the people in it! Ask, believe, receive and remember not to worry about how you will get your desires, that’s not your job. Life is whatever you want it to be everyone! It is that simple. Pick and choose and just give thanks!!!
