I am a 31 year old father of two beautiful children ages 3 and 6. I have and still am serving my country for 12 years now and deployed over seas 6 times and twice being to Afghanistan. As a Sergeant in the Combat Engineer Core iI deal with explosives, and stressful situations when deployed on Operations. My life has taken a turn for the worse since 2007.

Since 2007 I have lost my house, wife, family, truck, motorcycle, job, friends, sanity, health, confidence, and my ability to cope. I have been in court for a DUI, threatening to kill the chief of a fire department, mischief, fighting, and custody issues. I was sent to Haiti in 2010 after being diagnosed with severe PTSD in 2007. I tried to soldier on but inside I was crashing hard. Haiti’s earthquake was my breaking point, as a section commander of 10 I was a disappointment. Drinking alcohol just about every day and catching Malaria during my deployment really showed its colors when returning to Canada.

I left my wife that summer after committing a non emotional hated affair. The separation was coming since 2007 as I had no love for anything except my children. The military hospitalized me to a place called Homewood in Guelph ON under a SATS (substance abuse trauma support) program for 2 months. Again being away from my kids was just devastating but this was to be my most crucial deployment to date. Dr Jayck has been an amazing 70 year old man who started my mind on a path to recovery from both alcohol and PTSD.

I looked myself in the mirror and decided to explore my spirituality which leads me to the wonderful world of Yoga and Mokcha. After grasping this outlet I was still missing that feeling of fulfilment. Then came The Secret, just by word of mouth. I looked it up and read into it a bit. Falling in love with the Law of Attraction, I decided to write your team an e-mail never expecting a response and then forgot about it for awhile. Well two weeks ago I was driving home from Cape Breton Island where I am from and got a text message from my lawyer saying that my Ex wife has agreed to go to Mediation instead of trial in court for sharing custody of our children. 30 minutes later I arrived home and in the mail box was a package from The Secret Team. Inside was a copy of The Secret Book, the Daily Teachings by Rhonda Byrne, a gorgeous daily Journal, and a hand written post card. I sat on my front step in amazement and thought this is in no way a coincidence.
