In 2008 a colleague at work introduced me to The Secret. It blew my mind and I couldn’t believe that life could be that easy. Even before I applied The Secret I used clips of the video to motivate my Year 11 students by asking them to think about what grade they wanted in their final exams and how would they work to achieve it.

Meanwhile, in my own personal life, I had always wished that I could drive a BMW X5. Each time I would pass one on the road I would wish to have one. The more I wished, the more X5s I would see. So I thought, why not apply the law of attraction for this because I wanted it so badly. I started off by ordering the BMW catalogs. I booked a test drive and that felt so good.

Now, what I didn’t mention was that I didn’t have the money to buy such an expensive Jeep, but for some reason that didn’t worry me. I focused on parking my new car in my driveway. I remember dreaming of owning an X5. I also remember saying to myself, “Do people who own X5 have two heads? Of course not. So what’s stopping me from owning one?” So I prayed about it and asked God to show me signs.

Now I know that things don’t just happen, I need to bring them into existence. So I needed a good credit score to finance my car. I checked online by paying for a credit score check and found my credit history was good. Then I applied for BMW finance through the main BMW office and I was told I would hear back from them in 24 hours. The law of attraction doesn’t waste time, I got a call back about an hour later to congratulate me on passing the BMW credit check!

All that remained was for me to choose a car and of course, you know what I chose. I pushed it a bit and asked for one with top specs with all the trimmings. It took the dealers about a month to actually get a vehicle that matched my spec requirements.

On the 9th of February 2009, I collected my new BMW X5. It was a lovely experience. When all the paperwork was completed and the keys handed over to me, I went to the lady’s, knelt down on the floor, held my hands up high to the heavens, and thanked God. I was so grateful because not in my wildest dreams did I ever imagine owning a BMW X5.
