Sherman Oaks, CAI work to make justice affordable for everyone in North America and protect them from Idenity Theft. That's far more rewarding than having been an attorney!
This isn’t life changing. But it counts, right? A silly little applicaton of The Secret. It’s a weekend morning, the weekly tennis game for fun and exercise. Same five or six folks playing weekly for years, so winning and losing really doesn’t matter. Still, it’s the third set of the day, it’s hot outside, and my partner and I are trailing three games to love, and down love-fifteen in the fourth game. We win the next point–wish we had it on tape, because my eyes were closed as I lunged at the ball–but it turned out to be a perfect (lucky) shot. Fifteen-all. My partner (who has not seen The Secret yet) said, “That’s the one that turns the set around.” And I said, “You’re right, let’s do it.” And I actually had a quick mental image of that light launching from out of my head out into the Universe, complete with sound effect. I suddenly didn’t feel tired from the past 90 minutes of 90-degree tennis. From love-three, we won that game and the next five in a row to win the set 6-3. Now, unless you’re a top pro at Wimbledon, that’s not gonna change your life. But if you can apply the feeling, the power, of The Secret to a silly recreational tennis match, who’s to say you can’t apply it to change the world…starting with you?
