From Average to the Alps!

Leysin SwitzerlandI am the recreation manager for a luxury hotel. I am a former adjunct college professor.
I saw The Secret one year ago. Its profound message started me on a spiritual journey that transformed my life.
I have always been an optimistic person so I had no trouble believing in the power of attraction. I was, however, spending a fair amount of time in my ‘lower self’, suffering as one does when attached to the ego. As I interpreted the message of The Secret, one could manifest anything desired if one lived in the higher self. This higher self concept was fascinating to me and I began seeking answers. I soon found Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, and Gary Zukav. They had the information I sought.
For six months I did the work on my ego. Then I got down to the business of manifesting. I made a list of my perfect life: I wanted a change in my job, I wanted to travel, and I wanted to make a useful contribution to the world. I continued adding all kinds of additional goodies to my list, like a housekeeper, a gym membership, and even a chef! While I continued to grow spiritually, learning to meditate and be peaceful, I also released my attachment to any particular outcome.
I was minding my own business one day when an old friend entered my office. He had been my boss several years back and just wanted to say hi. He was now living in Europe and he invited me to come for a visit. He was academic director for a hospitality school and wondered if I would like to be a guest speaker. I recognized synchronicity when I saw it! Several days later I emailed him and we began making plans for my visit.
One month after my friend issued the invitation I was on a plane to Switzerland. Instead of just visiting for a week or two, I arranged a leave of absence from my job and booked my return trip for six months away.
I am now living in a tiny breathtaking village high in the Alps, teaching ‘soft skills’ at an internationally renowned hotel management school. Included in my Guest Speaker arrangement is a three bedroom villa on campus, free access to the gym and spa, a housekeeper once a week (she irons my sheets!), all meals free at one of three wonderful restaurants on campus. Since it is a hospitality school, I attend wonderful workshops on Caviar, Champagne, Chocolate, Cheese, Cognacs and Cigars, at no charge. On the weekends I travel around Europe by train.
I am living the life I co-created with God, by just simply committing it to my thoughts, staying positive in my higher self, being excited and thankful and letting it all happen. The Secret opened the door to a new world for me; a limitless, creative, abundant world!
