MitchiganI am 18 years old and I want to become a doctor in medicine because I want to cure people who were unfortunate to become ill, and to help them restore their faith. :)
Hello, fellow friends!
When I was 8 years old, my mom and I were having a shower together. While she was spreading shampoo on my head, she noticed I had some bald spots on my scalp. Later on, I was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata. This is when hair falls out in random, coin-sized spots from all over your scalp.
Things were getting worse. At the age of 9-10, I had to wear a bandana. When I was 10, my dad shaved my head twice. The worst thing was that, even though my Alopecia was probably already cured, I developed Trichotillomania!
I never knew how to deal with my problem. This was worrying me to death. I was also entering puberty. I got slightly overweight, had acne and my schoolmates called me names. They called me ugly, bald, fat, and whatnot. I acted as if I didn’t care.
At the age of 12 I began to write my memories in a diary. In April 2007 I drew a drawing of myself the way I wanted to look! I had drawn an arrow pointing at the bandana: “I hope that soon I won’t have to wear this!”
Guess what?
I spent that whole summer with my grandparents! My granny once told me: “Let’s go for a walk around the beach, and get that thing off your head.”
I didn’t feel how quickly time passed. By September I had significant progress in hair growth. Moreover, two years later I was already in the athletic team of our school, because I had trained for months long. I was no longer fat and bald!
You see?
I hadn’t even heard of The Secret back then, but I accidentally used it!
Now people even see me as very beautiful and a smart girl. Everyone is beautiful! I had somehow neglected the strong sides of my personality and my green eyes.
Look at the mirror guys and girls and love what you see because the Universe will help you!
I want to thank God that he helped me discover who I am. I want to thank him for my family and for my best friends! And most of all, thank you, because now I am able to share my story and thus help someone! I am glad if I inspired you with this.
Kisses!
