Two years ago I started praying for a new direction in my life.

I was living my dream, and working as my own boss as a cosmetologist. I felt trap in my environment, and wanted to make positive changes in my life. I enrolled in my local community college for a creative writing course, and wrote my book. I knew becoming a writer was the most important thing in my life to be. And I’ve finished my second book.

I still felt that there was more to do, and write about, so I decided to look for other colleges outside of my city. I wanted to be warm and I no longer wanted to deal with the winter months. I contacted colleges in other states, and had never visited New Mexico. But, New Mexico was calling my name. I prayed with my church home, and asked for direction.

I am now living in New Mexico, and I am enrolled in the Journalism program. I have a great job, and was voted most inspirational by my peers in my training class. I am part of the broadcasting team at the college, as a health news reporter. I am working on my third book and my life direction is everything I prayed it to be.
