I knew about The Secret when it first came out.

I employed it to get a house against all odds, a car I wanted, a work situation via vision board, a cross-country move.

I also used it to get the house I currently live in, again using a vision board. The house is almost identical to the image I had on the vision board.

But it was a “little” thing that has really driven home for me how incredibly powerful our thoughts and beliefs are, good or bad.

I had moved about a year ago, and in that move, I managed to lose a great deal of my jewelry. I had many necklaces that were too long for the jewelry box so I had them hanging in my closet. When I moved, after unpacking, I could not find all those necklaces, some of which were important to me. I tore the house apart, looked in every box, basket, bag, drawer and found nothing. So I had it in my head, and kept saying, “I can’t find my jewelry!” I said that over and over. “Where is my jewelry?! I can’t find it.”

Then I watched The Secret again after many years. I also then read The Magic, and decided I would use it to find my jewelry as a test. I closed my eyes and imagined having just found my jewelry, feeling overjoyed and relieved, laughing out loud and feeling so happy I had found it, and said, yes and thank you!

Then I just forgot about it.

The very next day, I was sitting at my desk and the thought went through my head that I am going to find my jewelry now.

I got up, went to my closet, went to the back and pulled out a bag. I swear to you I had looked through that bag 40 times in the past with no luck.

This time I felt around in the bottom of it, and said, “That feels like beads!” I pulled everything else out.

And there was my jewelry in the bag, where I had looked for it time and time again while I was saying “I can’t find my jewelry!”

The Universe allowed me to somehow not see it right there in the bag I had looked into so many times. When I decided that I was going to find it, after having imagined finding it and feeling the happiness that it brought, I found it without delay!

And my feeling of relief and joy was exactly how I had felt it in my imagination.

So even with “big” things, you must believe you already have it, say thank you, and let it go.

I really, really get it now.
