I lost my husband to cancer in October 2006. I knew that he would want me to find love again, and after a short time I started “concentrating” on finding the right person to share the rest of my life with. I would positively wish and think positively about it every day. I just “knew” that somehow I would find him.

My husband and I had our own business that I couldn’t continue without him, so knowing that I had too many years yet to work to retire, I had to find something that I knew to make a living. I put my house up for sale and decided I’d have to find something when it sold. Well, it sold within a month! I thought it might take a couple years to sell! I got on the ball and decided what I knew was retailing. I went all around the country but something kept pulling me to Lake Havasu City, Arizona (from my home in Colorado-a major difference). I didn’t know anyone there, my husband and I had been there several times on vacation and liked it. My daughter, son in law, and granddaughter all went to check it out and decided we thought we could make it work there. I decided to buy a retail business that I was familiar with and we would run it as a family business.

I was in the town making banking arrangements, etc., and started chatting online with a man in a town about 45 minutes away from there. He came up and took me out to dinner, we walked and talked for hours that evening. Long story, short, we moved there in July 2007. I “KNEW” that one of the reasons I was pulled to this area was because of Michael – I had asked my husband Ray to help me find someone and I thought he had.

Well, for Christmas this year my daughter bought me the book “The Secret” . I began to read it and told my daughter, “I can’t believe it – this is what has happened to me before I even knew anything about it! This HAS to work because it worked and I didn’t even know about it!!!” I mentioned it to Michael and he knew all about it, he had the movie. I made copies of the summaries to read every night before going to bed, and gave the book to my daughter to read – she can’t let it go. I’m gonna have to buy me another one! I told my very dear friend from Colorado about it too, and she has since bought the book and movie and totally believes in it. We talk about it often.
