I watched The Secret DVD last year by chance – one of my workmates gave it to me. After watching it over and over again, I was really fascinated. I started to look at my life critically and realized a lot of the things that had gone wrong in my life were really a result of my thinking, and that I was responsible for the way my life was till that point.

To cut a long story short, after much thought I realized my bank job was not helping me get closer to achieving my dreams. I sent out applications to various organizations, mostly international, then resigned in July last year without a clue to how I was going to survive. I just knew deep in my heart that things would workout.

Opportunities started showing up. I started to manage a band, worked for a radio station as a presenter, all the while learning to believe and trust in my abilities. I examined each area of my life, figured out what I wanted from it, then acted like I was already in possession of it.

Exactly one year since I made that decision, I will be leaving this month to work for a reputable airline that is providing me with a furnished apartment, tax free salary, medical insurance, hourly flying pay, and a host of other perks that I really would not have been able to obtain if I had not believed in The Secret. The way it happened is almost magical; the recruiters came to my country for the first time, they selected about 8 girls out of the 300 that showed up, and I just happened to be one of them. I feel blessed. I already signed the contract. The final communication for me to resign from my current job has not come through yet but I believe it deep in my heart that everything will work out.

I acted by faith right from the start – leaving a job that most people would die for, meeting up with old friends and family to say farewell, distributing my property to friends and family, getting all my paperwork in order, etc. My flying date is 19 September 2010 and I believe that it will come to pass. I have a picture of our airport as the screen saver on my phone and I visualize what it will be like to drive through the airport, check in, hug my friends as I leave and anything else that helps me to focus on the goal. I have begun this week to thank God for my new job and lifestyle!

The Secret works, trust in God and believe in yourself, put your wishes out to the universe and you will be amazed at what you will achieve.
