Shortly after being introduced to the video of The Secret, I fell in love with the idea. An old friend of mine would teach me all the time about it, and I practiced it (and still do) every day. The first time that I actually experienced it working, I will never forget. It may seem minor to some, but to me, it created a whole new beginning.

I was driving and listening to the radio one day. The radio station was having a contest for caller number nine, so I figured I would give it a try and call. I was having a great day and it was nice out so why not. The first attempt, I was caller number nine and they told me I qualified to be a part of a drawing for an LCD television and a “Super Bowl wing party” which consisted of 100 free wings of my choice and some other items. Obviously this was around Super Bowl weekend. I told them I could make it to there by that upcoming Saturday for the drawing.

I was scheduled to work that day, but I went anyway since I had time before work to go in. I remember being in my work uniform and telling my friend and dad over the phone about how I was going to go to hang out for a drawing for a free tv and wings. I specifically remember saying to my friend, “I’m going to go pick up my tv. I’m trying to think of a place to put it in my house”. I really truly did believe that it was already mine. I really was picturing in my mind where I would put the tv, either in my room or in the living room.

When I arrived at the location, they didn’t draw names for about half an hour, but it was still fun to hang out. I was up against quite a number of people, but I just kept playing over and over in my head the girl drawing my name out of the box and calling my name. To my surprise, it had actually sounded the way I was picturing it, and I didn’t really know how to react, so I just threw my hands up and said “woohoo” and went up to the front to collect my prize and thank everybody and take pictures. I was shocked that it actually worked. It didn’t stop there, however. The radio DJ who was hosting it all, after having explained about how I just replayed over in my head my name being called, had said to me “that’s The Secret, baby.” I was so surprised, because I not only had just discovered The Secret and law of attraction, I had no idea anyone else knew about it or would even believe it.

We talked for about 20 minutes about The Secret and how he used it in his life for parking spots and getting free super bowl tickets and all. He was such a nice guy that I wouldn’t doubt that he would receive great things. More and more I had discovered that other people who were coming into my life had believed in The Secret, too. It is just so great to see everything differently now than I ever have before. My life since finding out about The Secret, thanks to a dear friend of mine who believed in me, has been so wonderful, and I am always learning and manifesting/attracting new and wonderful things.
