First Time Filmmaker Uses The Secret Teachings To Target Black Communities
Submitted by: Wayne C. Robinson
Austin, TexasFirst time filmmaker produced film to reach Black communities with teachings learned from The Secret.
In 1994, I was 40 years old and realized that I had not accomplished anything of value in my life. A voice asked me, “If I could do anything, what would that be?” A few weeks later, I realized that I loved people and loved to travel.
Three months later, I attended the International Tour Management Institute in San Francisco to become a tour director. I then worked on cruise ships, for a commercial airlines, and as an executive/corporate flight attendant for Fortune 500 companies and high profile clientele traveling around the world. Wow!
I then wrote three books. After flunking college English twice!
Finally, I became a timeshare sales person in the U.S., Canada, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and Mexico.
It was 2008 in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico at the Villas Del Palmar Resort. All sales persons were required to watch the DVD of The Secret. After watching the film, I realized how I was able to accomplish so much after deciding what it was that I wanted.
When I returned to the U.S. during the stock market crash, I asked my family and African American friends if they had watched The Secret DVD or read the book. They heard nothing about it. I asked more of them, and still nothing. It was at that time, I decided to produce a film that will target Black communities around the world with the teachings that I had learned from The Secret.
I had no previous film making experience, but I knew that if the law of attraction worked for me, it could work for anyone. Including those who are living in poverty, unemployment, violence, crime and other negative conditions.
I researched for African Americans who knew about the law of attraction and were teaching it. To my surprise, there were enough to produce a film. I found them in Austin, Atlanta and Jamaica. I also found out that there were pockets of African American “New Thought” centers.
I thought, if Black communities could just see and understand this film, their lives would change forever, and change the lives of future generations.
Here is the shocking news. By reviewing the clips of the film’s teachers over and over again, I had learned much more about the law of attraction and how the Universe really operates. They were teaching me how to apply the law of attraction towards producing the film, with no budget!
“Inspire The Dreams Live On” will be released on November 15, and I must say that I am so proud of myself for finally completing something worthwhile in my life.
I always thank the Universe and Rhonda Byrne for being obedient to that voice by sharing The Secret with the world. It will reach areas that she never imagined.
Thank you, Rhonda.
