First Day, Three Miracles!
I’ve heard SO MUCH about the The Secret series, so when I had extra cash one day and decided to go splurge on a book, I bought The Magic.
A few weeks after that, I decided to begin practising it and did the first exercise (writing 10 things I was thankful for and why).
At the top of my list was about my grandfather, who was diagnosed with Stage 2 Prostate Cancer. I just wrote how thankful I was to still have him with us because he was the best grandfather anyone could wish for. I also wrote that I was thankful for my job, although I wasn’t very happy with it. The reason I was thankful for it? Because I HAVE a job, while there are people out there who are unemployed.
On that very same day, my boss called me into her office to say that my colleagues have been mentioning good things about me, and that they didn’t want me to leave. My boss also said that she thought she made a mistake and didn’t want to change my department after all (I was originally to be reinstated to another department in another week’s time).
Not long after that, my executive came to me with more surprising, flattering news.
And that night, I was told that the hospital had done another test on my grandfather, and it turns out he didn’t have cancer after all, although there’s still a chance that he MIGHT.
I never really realised why so many good news came at once until later on in the day when I remembered that I had written my list that morning.
And now that I think of it, there is another good thing that happened that I wasn’t aware of until this moment: I’m very passionate about dancing, and just yesterday, I found out that I would be doing 1 more solo for my studio’s upcoming concert. I have a total of 4 dances for the concert now.
To be honest, I was kind of blur with shock for a while. I was completely flabbergasted! It has only been ONE DAY and already the two main things I have been worrying/not happy about have improved drastically!
I’m SO glad to have picked up The Magic, and thank you SO much Rhonda for sharing this amazing experience with so many of us!
